How can these agents be utilized?

Microsoft Cowork

Cowork gets the work done for you. It does not simply “help you do it”; it plans, executes, reports, and improves quality. At key stages, it pauses and asks for permission before proceeding. You tell it what you need, and Cowork takes care of the rest.

Researcher

Researcher gathers and compiles information for you from your own files, emails, meetings, and the web, then turns it into a clear, source-based report. For example, you can quickly prepare for a meeting, explore a broad topic without spending hours searching, or receive a summary with verifiable sources.

Researcher is especially useful for:

• Complex or multi-step questions that require depth

• Collecting context and insights from multiple sources

• Creating detailed reports, market analyses, or meeting summaries

Analyst

Analyst is like having your own data analyst. You provide a spreadsheet or file, ask a question, and receive an answer without needing analytics expertise yourself. For example, it can compare figures, identify trends, generate forecasts from data, and present results as ready-made charts and tables.

Analyst is especially useful for:

• Analyzing large datasets to identify trends and patterns

• Producing data-driven insights for reports and presentations

• Creating complex charts from your data

• Building forecasts to support planning and decision-making

Study and Learn

The purpose of the Study and Learn agent is to help you understand things yourself, not just provide ready-made answers. It can, for example:

• Explain concepts step by step

• Assist with mathematics, languages, programming, and other subjects

• Support learning by asking guiding questions

• Help clarify difficult topics through examples and comparisons

• Create practice materials such as flashcards or quiz-style exercises

• Assist with planning and improving written work
