• At least one free environment (Business Central provides four: 1 production + 3 sandboxes).

• The environment can be removed after the test.

How we execute the test

1. Teams meeting
A short session where we agree on:

• Which data sets to compare

• The exact restore timestamp

• Practical steps and timeline

2. Extraction of comparison data
You extract the relevant datasets — for example customer and vendor ledger entries — into Excel. These form the baseline for comparison.

3. Database restore
We restore your Business Central environment to the agreed date and time in a separate sandbox, ensuring your production environment stays unaffected.

4. Testing and validation
You compare the restored environment against your Excel extracts. Any discrepancies are reviewed and validated together.
