Leading the way in operational AI adoption through structured Copilot enablement

Finance Finland aimed to integrate generative AI into daily expert work in a meaningful way. Although the organization had followed the topic closely and prepared its environment, success required more than technology alone. 
They needed a structured rollout that included training, strong internal communication, and shared practices. Representatives from each internal group were involved to ensure broad adoption, and internal guidelines for responsible AI use were created to support safe and effective usage. 

Finance Finland implemented Copilot with support from Context&’s Copilot Essentials service. ICT specialists prepared the Microsoft 365 environment before activation, ensuring readiness for generative AI. 
Representatives from all internal groups - covering public affairs, infrastructure, security, administration, and financial and prudential legislation—were selected to participate in a structured project starting in March. 
“Smart Pilots” received early access to Copilot and Copilot Essentials training, which later expanded to all employees. Training was integrated into onboarding, and AI Evergreen trainings helped ICT specialists stay up to date. 
Finance Finland intensified communication through group‑specific sessions, Teams channels, and IT clinics. Shared prompts and highlighted use cases supported adoption across workflows such as blog writing, summarizing content, translating materials, processing long documents, drafting expert statements, and exploring Copilot’s Researcher and Analyst Agents. 

According to a 2024 internal survey, Finance Finland experienced increased efficiency through support for routine tasks. Training, communication, and ongoing knowledge sharing made it easier for employees to adopt Copilot in their daily work. 
The organization continues to explore new use cases and is planning regular short info sessions and role‑specific trainings to deepen skills and expand future AI usage.
