Rani Plast modernised its working environment with Context& and redesigned previous ways of working into an integrated setup where communication became easier and file management simpler.
A SharePoint intranet was built from scratch, shifting general information flow from email to the intranet and Teams, making information easier to find.
Cloud agents, training, and a dedicated playbook supported employees in adopting new tools and practices across the organisation.
Rani Plast previously handled most communication by email and did not have an intranet. Employees received too many emails and attended too many meetings. The official storage locations, including the K drive and Rani Management System, were perceived as difficult to navigate. Internal communication, including customer complaints, was also handled by email. The project team concluded that internal communication and document management needed to be streamlined and modernized.
“Your specialist led the intranet project extremely well and guided the work throughout. Together we considered what kinds of components the intranet should include and what it should look like. We went through daily routines and agreed on where different types of information are shared and which tool is used for each task.”
“General information flow has shifted from email to the intranet and Teams, and emails are now received only very rarely. Information is easy to find in the intranet.”
“I appreciate that your specialists challenged us on matters such as licensing, information structures, and security, and provided suggestions for improvement. We took the challenges on with a positive mindset.”
Context& implemented a broad modern work project that included building a SharePoint intranet from scratch and designing a process-driven Teams structure. Teams was rolled out to all white-collar employees, and information previously stored in the K drive was migrated into the new structure. Workshops defined how information should be shared across Teams and the intranet. A modern work playbook was created to clarify tools, practices, and guidelines. Cloud agents were selected from various functions and trained to support colleagues in daily use of the new environment.
Rani Plast is a Finnish company founded in 1955 that produces industrial and agricultural packaging films. It operates two film manufacturing plants in Finland and employs around 500 people across Finland and Europe.
Information access and communication improved after the introduction of the new intranet and Teams. Handling customer complaints became faster, and messages became easier to locate. Managing permissions and documents became easier for the IT department, as information sharing in Teams reduced the need for constant access-rights adjustments. The cloud agents continue to support employees in using the renewed digital work environment. Rani Plast’s next goal is to make information accessible for factory workers as well.
